Boron II-MX
Introducing Winston's new fast-action Boron II-MX rods. MX stands for maximum, as in maximum power, distance and fish fighting capabilities. These rods are slightly stiffer than their BIIx counterparts and will amze you with their blend of power and feel. They are "guns," capable of making long casts, handling big flies and crazy winds, yet they will amaze you with their incredibly light weight and resposivness. They feature Winston's new double locking reel seat and a cork fighting butt.
Why Boron?
Winston first started using boron/graphite composite in 1997. It's an
unusually strong material with a very quick recovery rate and is ideal
for designing rods that can generate extremely high line speeds. Boron
IIx is the second generation of this composite, and the features of this
new material have allowed Winston to create the most advanced fly rods
in the world. They have all the strength and power of boron, while being
very lightweight and offering the rare ability to fish at close, medium
or long distances with equal ease.
