What: For those that have never attended the M&Y spey clave this is "THE" day to come and play with all of the different two handed rods and lines available through Michael & Young. It provides an excelelnt opportunity to try a spey rod for the first time, to tweak your exisiting rod finding the perfect line, to check out what's new, to build on your wish list, and to socialize with all the other double handed fanatics. All of our major rod and line brands are represented by their sales representatives and/or designers who will participate in our demonstrations and work with you as you give it a go. You can cast different combinations till your arms fall off. Daily seminars and casting instructions are constantly on the go and, as always, there will be a free barbecue lunch and beverages. In case of inclement weather there will be a covered area. Whether your a dyed in the wool spey tosser, rank beginner or even just thinking about getting into the long rods, this day is for you!
Who:  Steve Rajeff
Arguably "the" fly caster for the 21st century... and beyond. Steve has won more fly casting competitions than anyone, period. He will be giving a variety of demonstrations and talks on the virtue of the long rod throughout the day.    
Steve Choate
Addicted to spey casting Steve has taken spey rods to a new level. His involvement with the design for a variety of spey lines as well as his intimate work with G.Loomis on their highly acclaimed Roaring River spey rod series has set him apart from the crowd. Oh yeah... he's also a world spey casting champion  
Who Continued: Peter Morrison from Sage, Rio, Islander and others; Jack Cook and Dan McCrimmon from Guideline; Tyler Kushnir from CND; Giovanni Cidio from R.L. Winston; Whitney Gould and Brian Styskal from CF Burkheimer will all be at the event sharing their knowledge and expertise as well as doing some demonstrations. Also of note: Aaron Goodis, Tim Arsenault, and Ryan Heitz will be offering up instructions on various techniques in regards to spey casting.

First prize (well there is two of them) will be a Hatch #9 Pulse Reel valued at $865 generously donated by Hatch, and a Scott T2H 1258/4 Spey rod donated by Gerald Woloshyn (our Scott fly rods rep) and Scott rods. (Please note these will be given away seperatley). Along with the reel there will be plethora of other prizes including a couple of Maui Jim HT sunglasses with bi-focals, fly lines, shirts, streamside accessories, etc...
