Michael & Young is extremely excited about the newest addition to flyrod inventory, C.F. Burkheimer. We do not have the rods in stock yet but they are in transit and should be here anyday. If you are not familiar with C. F. Burkheimer they build one of the most beautiful fly rods in the world. Each rod blank is available in one of three different builds: Classic, Presentation, or Vintage. Extra tips can be ordered with each rod and blank colors can be customized. The launch of G.Loomis's new NRX fly rods on Friday August 13th. The NRX just won the "Best new Freshwater Rod" and "Best of Show" awards at ICAST(International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades), the world's largest sportfishing tradeshow. The NRX rods also won the "Best New Fly Rod" award at EFFTEX(European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition) the second largest sportfishing tradeshow, in Valencia, Spain. The rods are a step above G. Loomis's GLX rods being 15-20% lighter, and 15-20% stronger. Nine foot models from 3 through 12 weight, ten footers in 7 through 9 weight, and 3 spey rods: 8/9-10/11. On Saturday, August 14th we will have the rods on display, available to cast and purchase.
